- The train does round trips from Pétange / Fond-de-Gras / Pétange from 1st May to the last Sunday in September every Sunday excluding 23rd June (National Holiday).

Since mining activities ceased 40 years ago, the state has let nature take hold of this vast tract of land, attracting flora and fauna not seen for years.
The south of Luxembourg was once a site of intense industry as miners from across Europe risked their lives far underground to remove precious iron ore.
Entire towns and businesses grew up around this industry and, though mining activities have long-since died out, the immense machines, fascinating stories and cavernous tunnels remain a popular attraction.
Near the Fond-de-Gras railway station there is an old-style grocery store and other remnants of the golden age of Luxembourg’s iron industry.
